No. The Free plan needs no account, no email, and no credit card. Open Planomy and start planning — everything is stored locally in your browser. You only create an account if you choose to upgrade to Plus for cloud sync.

No. Free is the complete planner, not a trial, and it never expires — net-worth projections, plan-vs-actual budgeting, goals, and every calculator, with no row caps and no time limit. The one usage tier is the AI plan assistant, which gives Free accounts 30 messages a day (Plus raises that to 300/day) — everything else in the planner itself has no feature locks. Plus adds cloud sync, unlimited synced plans, plan sharing, and monthly nudges on top.

Yes. The AI assistant that reads your plan and answers questions about it is rate-limited per day: signed-in Free accounts get 30 messages/day, and Plus subscribers get 300 messages/day. If you're not signed in at all you get a small anonymous allowance. Hitting the daily limit doesn't affect anything else in the planner — projections, budgeting, and calculators keep working normally, and the limit resets at midnight UTC.

Nothing is lost. Your plan always lives locally in your browser, so cancelling Plus simply stops syncing and drops you back to the Free plan — with every planning feature except cloud sync, sharing, and nudges. You keep full JSON export and import at all times, so your data is never locked in.

Plus is $6 per month or $60 per year (two months free versus monthly). This is introductory launch pricing and may change over time, but the core planner will always be free. You can cancel any time and keep using everything except the Plus cloud features.

Yes. Cancel any time from the Stripe Customer Portal in your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you already paid for, and you are not charged again after that. Because access continues through the period you paid for, we don't provide partial refunds for unused time — see the Terms for details.

Yes. All of Planomy's calculators are free forever with no account — FIRE number, retirement drawdown, compound growth, mortgage payoff, capital gains tax, and more. They're part of the free tier and are never gated behind Plus.
